I am hiring a Staff Software Engineer for a FinTech business operating in a data-rich environment, building systems that support critical business workflows.
This is a hands‑on role with real ownership across systems that need to be reliable, responsive, and built with long-term maintainability in mind.
Responsibilities
Build and evolve backend services and user-facing applications using the .NET ecosystem
Take ownership of systems - shaping design, implementation, and how they perform in production
Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand problems and deliver practical, high-impact solutions
Make architectural decisions that balance speed of delivery with long-term reliability
Contribute in an environment where priorities evolve and systems are continuously improved
Support and improve systems in production – resolving issues, increasing reliability, and reducing operational overhead
Requirements
Strong experience building applications in C# / .NET
Experience delivering both backend systems and user-facing applications (web or desktop)
Comfortable working on systems where reliability and correctness are important
Strong problem‑solving skills across complex, interconnected systems
Experience shipping software into production and supporting it over time
Familiar with modern development xcfaprz practices (version control, CI/CD, testing)
Nice to Have
Experience working with data-intensive systems
Exposure to performance optimisation and system efficiency
Familiarity with infrastructure, deployment, or observability tooling
Experience working with large datasets
