Job Description

Due to continued expansion in Jones Engineering, we require an Intermediate Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join the delivery team. The projects involve a wide range of clients in sectors such as Data Centres, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical and Commercial. This role offers experience of varied project work across different sectors and exposure to a diverse range of construction contracts.


Responsibilities

To provide support to Construction Team and Senior Quantity Surveyor on all Quantity Surveying functions including, but not limited to the following:



  • Working directly with Contract Managers to advise on Commercial status of projects.
  • Assisting in the review of all project contracts
  • Assist the Senior QS with the preparation of Commercial Reports.
  • Negotiation with contractors across all projects including preparation of variations.
  • Manage major subcontractor accounts from initial award to interim valuation, variations and final account.
  • Assist the Senior QS with monthly progress applications.
  • Assisting in the tendering process
  • All other duties associated with this role.

Skills / Requirements

  • Relevant third level qualifications are an advantage but not essential
  • Previous experience (4 years+) in a similar role with an electrical contractor.
  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-functional team.
  • Demonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
