Position Purpose

The Business Intelligence and Reporting Analyst plays a key role at First Fed in providing data driven intelligence and insights across all business units through the analysis, design, c reation, maintenance, and scheduling of reports, dashboards, and scorecards for all areas of the institution. Creates and maintains a catalogue of queries and reports for audit purposes as well as ensuring consistency between members of the Business Intelligence and Reporting Team.

Maintains process for requesting new reports, dashboards, and scorecards as well as requesting changes to existing reporting.

Essential Functions

Responsible for the analysis, design, and delivery of specialized reports, dashboards, and scorecards to expose multiple data sources to empower critical business decisions to drive growth, value, efficiency, and financial results across the organization.

Maintains expert knowledge of organizational data sources and reporting tools to ensure quality and completeness of BI at an enterprise level.

Performs regular audits to evaluate the quality and integrity of the data across all reporting.

Works across functional areas to understand business drivers, metrics, and KPI’s; and identifies data sources and reporting objectives to develop relevant and timely reporting.

Evaluates, analyzes, and recommends potential for opportunities that enhance business direction and processes.

Performs in-depth tasks and analysis needed to monitor adoption, usage, and performance to drive continuous improvement.

Develops clear and concise data visualizations and written interpretations for communication of results to various management and user groups.

Provides guidance and training to staff in the use of data sources and reporting tools.

Ensures compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations and other federal and state regulations pertinent to this position. Complete annual BSA training in a timely manner in accordance with BSA regulations and internal policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, business intelligence, or computer science or equivalent degree and experience

Typically requires a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, including the following:

Advanced knowledge of data mining concepts and approaches.

Experience dealing with complex and large data sets from multiple sources.

Strong analytical skills with the following experience: IBM Cognos, Power BI, Tableau, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, SQL Server, Snowflake and Salesforce is beneficial

Experience with Fiserv Cleartouch (Bank Systems), Prologue, and Business Analytics (Cognos) highly desirable

Excellent communication, issue/problem resolution, presentation, and analytical skills

Physical Requirements:

The work requires the ability to operate office machines and equipment, such as personal computers, printers, copying machines and telephones. The work requires the ability to communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and others in person and on telephones. Work activities involve a combination of sitting/standing for extended periods.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $26.40 - $44.96 per hour

The typical hiring range for this position is $26.40 - $30.30 per hour

The hiring range may be adjusted accordingly for final candidates in areas with a higher cost of living

The incentive plan for this position is the Support Staff Incentive plan. It is paid out quarterly with a 5% target payout.
