Job Description

We are looking for a Data Analyst to support the technical analysis, automation, and fulfillment of enterprise data requests within the Department's digital infrastructure. This position will be Full-Time, Hybrid, and Contract (3-6 months). With employees expected to work in office 3 days per week.  

This position does not offer employment sponsorship. All candidates must be eligible to work without need for sponsorship by employer.

What You’ll Do

• Write, debug, and optimize complex SQL scripts within the Snowflake environment to fulfill ad-hoc data requests and perform system-wide data analysis

• Review and interpret existing Python and SQL code to troubleshoot errors, suggest improvements, and ensure new automations align with established logic

• Develop and deploy Python-based scripts to automate the resolution of recurring support tickets, significantly reducing manual intervention for common data tasks

• Perform data profiling and validation within Snowflake and AWS to ensure data integrity across the Project Nexus ecosystem

• Serve as the technical point of contact for complex data inquiries, translating business requirements into precise technical deliverables

What You'll Need

Required:

• 3 years of Snowflake SQL scripting and optimization

• 3 years of Python programming for data and automation

• 3 years of code review and interpretation

• 3 years of data analysis and profiling

• 3 years of automated scripting for ticket resolution

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills

Preferred:

• 3 years of AWS Cloud Data Warehouse experience

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

• Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

• Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
