About
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
- Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Assess patients' oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation as needed
- Assist the dentist during procedures, including charting and documenting patient information
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment
- Utilize electronic health record systems for documentation and scheduling
```Qualifications```
- Valid dental hygiene license in [Virginia]
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Proficiency in using dental software for charting, scheduling, and billing (such as Dentrix)
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and perform medical imaging procedures
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health care
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records
