Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salesforce Copado DevOps Engineer to join our team for a 6-month engagement at our Charlotte, NC office. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in Salesforce DevOps and release engineering, with a deep expertise in Copado for Salesforce release management, CI/CD pipeline automation, and DevOps best practices. This role is fully onsite, and only U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders are eligible to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Release Planning & Execution:
Own the end-to-end release management process for Salesforce environments using Copado. Work closely with development, QA, and business teams to ensure successful, error-free releases across multiple Salesforce environments. Plan and execute release cycles, including sandbox refreshes, production deployments, and emergency hotfixes.
CI/CD Pipeline Management:
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous integration and delivery of Salesforce changes. Ensure seamless automation of the release processes, improving speed, reliability, and efficiency.
Copado Administration:
Administer Copado for Salesforce release management, including user permissions, pipeline setup, and deployment monitoring. Optimize branching strategies, user story pipelines, and Copado job configurations.
Issue Tracking & Resolution:
Monitor deployment processes and resolve issues promptly by identifying root causes and collaborating with relevant teams. Ensure proper rollback procedures are in place for deployment failures, maintaining high standards of release integrity.
Change Management & Governance:
Enforce strict change control processes to align releases with business objectives and mitigate unapproved deployments. Maintain detailed deployment logs, audit trails, and release notes for compliance and governance.
Environment & Data Management:
Manage Salesforce environments (development, UAT, staging, production) including sandbox setup, data migration, and refresh scheduling. Ensure environment consistency and data integrity across multiple Salesforce instances.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate release status, potential impacts, and progress updates to stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and coordinated release cycles.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Copado Expertise:
Strong hands-on experience with Copado for release management, version control, and CI/CD automation. Salesforce Platform Knowledge:
Solid understanding of Salesforce, including standard/custom objects, Apex code, triggers, and flows. DevOps Toolchain Knowledge:
Proficiency in CI/CD tools like GitLab and Bitbucket. Automation Expertise:
Proven ability to automate release processes to eliminate manual deployment bottlenecks. Environment & Data Management:
Expertise in managing Salesforce sandboxes, data refreshes, and sandbox seeding.
Functional Skills:
Release Management:
Experience in planning, executing, and managing release cycles across multiple Salesforce environments. Change Control & Governance:
Familiarity with enforcing change control and governance processes in line with business objectives. Collaboration & Communication:
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Additional Requirements:
Experience:
8+ years of Salesforce DevOps or release engineering experience. Copado Certification (Preferred):
Certification will be considered a plus but not mandatory. Eligibility:
U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders only.
