Baxter seeks an ambitious R&D Manager to join our Care Communications business in Raleigh, NC. Baxter produces world-class medical solutions to empower clinical communication and collaboration and promote patient safety and happiness in the acute care hospital environment. The R&D Manager is an exceptionally exciting role leading the successful completion of software development projects within boundaries of quality, time, and budget. The R&D Manager will lead a technical team and apply expertise to review and approve complex development concepts, ensuring flawless execution. What You'll Do:
Generate innovative solutions to complex problems through the use of multiple fields and technical principles. Manage team members to effectively transfer technology from build development to implementation. Effectively coach, mentor, and motivate others for outstanding performance. Employ project management tools to manage project schedules and budgets; review and build team processes, and improve operational efficiency. What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in a related field with 8+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 5+ years of experience. Proficiency with embedded development. Recognized as a subject matter expert in software development fields. Experience with microcontrollers and C/C++. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a diverse team to solve complex problems. Experience developing and delivering software solutions to market. Ability to foster a culture of innovation to accelerate product development. Baxter is dedicated to addressing the demand for flexibility in the workplace. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $144,000-$198,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
