We are seeking an experienced and driven Design Project Manager (Design PM) to join the team in Birmingham, supporting the delivery of the landmark HS2 Curzon Station project. This is a pivotal role where you will lead and coordinate all aspects of design on behalf of the Lead Design Manager, ensuring seamless integration, compliance, and delivery across a complex, multi-disciplinary infrastructure programme.
Responsibilities: - Lead and track detailed design programmes from IDC through to IFC stages - Manage and control the overall design programme, including change management - Deliver clear, dashboard-driven reporting and escalate risks/issues proactively - Coordinate closely with HS2 Design PM to ensure aligned communication - Oversee work package deliverables, including reviews, approvals, and progress tracking - Ensure timely production and management of TIDPs and MIDPs through assurance processes - Support development of MEP and fit-out design deliverables - Promote a collaborative, safety-first culture aligned with project objectives - Assist in maintaining and updating the Design Management Plan (DMP) - Manage design-related costs, risks, opportunities, and change control
