About

*Product Owner*
*Salary:* £40,000–£43,000 *Location:* Hybrid, with at least 2 days per week in our Bristol office
At CareScribe, we’re building the foundations for more inclusive, neurodiverse-friendly workplaces.
Our ambition is to become a trusted partner for organisations - combining technology, knowledge, and enablement to make inclusion work in real life, every day. Not just through individual adjustments, but through systems, tools, and confidence that scale.
Everything we build is grounded in real user needs and lived experiences. We believe organisational trust is earned through genuine adoption, measurable outcomes, and products that people truly value.
As we grow, we’re looking for a *Product Owner* who can take ownership of delivery within a product team - translating ideas into well-shaped work, keeping teams aligned, and ensuring we deliver meaningful outcomes for our users.
*A Note from the Hiring Manager*
Hi, I’m Mel Jady, Head of Product at CareScribe.
We’re looking for someone who already has some solid grounding in product or delivery, and is ready to take the next step - owning backlog quality, shaping work with engineers and designers, and contributing to better product decisions.
You won’t be doing this alone. You’ll work closely with experienced Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers - but you will be trusted to run with work, ask the right questions, and keep delivery moving.
We care deeply about building the right things, not just shipping quickly. That means understanding users, testing ideas, and continuously improving what we deliver.
If you’re someone who enjoys bringing clarity to complexity, working collaboratively, and building products that genuinely help people, I’d love to hear from you.
*About the Role*
As a Product Owner, you’ll play a key role in ensuring product ideas are translated into clear, actionable work that teams can deliver effectively.
You’ll take ownership of backlog quality and sprint readiness, working closely with Product Managers, Design, and Engineering ensuring we’re solving the right problems in the right way.
This role is hands-on and delivery-focused, with real responsibility from the outset.
*What You’ll Be Doing*
*Product Delivery*
* Shaping ideas into clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
* Managing and prioritising the product backlog to balance user needs, business priorities, and technical constraints
* Ensuring work is well-defined and ready for sprint planning
* Supporting sprint teams to deliver smoothly and consistently
* Identifying risks, gaps, or dependencies early and driving resolution
*Applying Product Thinking*
* Using user insight, data, and feedback to inform decisions
* Supporting discovery work such as user interviews, journey mapping, and testing ideas
* Helping define and track measurable outcomes, not just outputs
* Continuously looking for ways to improve the product experience
*Working with Requirements & Stakeholders*
* Gathering and refining requirements from across the business
* Translating needs into clear, structured product requirements
* Challenging ambiguity and ensuring work is properly understood before development begins
*Collaborating Across Teams*
* Working closely with Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers to shape solutions
* Communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Supporting sprint reviews, release comms, and internal alignment
*About You*
We’re looking for someone who can operate with a good level of independence, while continuing to grow within a supportive product environment.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
* Have 2+ years’ experience in a product, delivery, or business analysis role within a software environment
* Have worked in agile sprint teams and understand core ceremonies and ways of working.
* Are confident in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing a backlog.
* Have experience working with tools such as *Jira, Linear, or Figma.*
* Are comfortable working with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
* Can spot gaps, challenge assumptions, and bring clarity to work before it enters a sprint.
* Have experience applying user insight, data, or research to product decisions
* Are a strong communicator who can bridge technical and non-technical conversations.
*Bonus if you have:*
* Experience working on customer-facing software products (rather than purely internal tools).
* Exposure to product discovery practices such as user interviews or prototyping
*Working at CareScribe*
Our Product Owner salary band is £32,000–£45,000. For this role, we expect to hire in the *£40,000–£43,000 range*, depending on experience.
