*Responsibilities:*
* Assist veterinarians with examinations, procedures, and surgeries as needed.
* Perform routine laboratory tests, including bloodwork, urinalysis, and fecal examinations.
* Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments under the direction of the veterinarian.
* Provide compassionate care to hospitalized patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering fluids, and maintaining patient comfort.
* Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures.
* Assist veterinarians with emergency cases.
* Educate pet owners on proper care and medication administration for their animals.
* Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of treatments and procedures.
* Ensure cleanliness and organization of the veterinary clinic and treatment areas
*Requirements:*
* Licensed Veterinary Technician in New York State
* Experience working as a veterinary technician is recommended but not required.
* Proficiency in performing routine veterinary procedures and laboratory tests.
* Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with clients and team members.
* Compassionate and patient-centered approach to animal care.
* Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexibility to work weekends as scheduled.
* Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

$500 bonus at 6 months of employment and another $500 after 1 year of employment for full time employment
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
