*Ka’ala Systems Technology Corporation* is seeking a skilled and experienced *Entry to Mid-Level Network Technician* to join our team at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico. As a *Network Technician*, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Base Telecommunication System, ensuring the efficient operation and security of the network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Core Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Tools (KSATs) as outlined by the DoD Workforce Innovation Directorate 8140 Cyber Workforce Framework.

*Responsibilities:*
*- Network Infrastructure Maintenance:*
* Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure to support the Base Telecommunication System.
* Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
* Collaborate with other IT professionals to integrate and optimize network components.
* Responsible for adding, deleting, modifying, and troubleshooting voice ports and/or virtual local area network (vlan) on the network switches that coincide with support of the Avaya Telephone Switch and/or telephone users.
*- Security Compliance:*
* Possess and apply DoD 8140 Intermediate level proficiencies in network security.
* Maintain compliance with security standards and policies to safeguard the network.
* Monitor and respond to security incidents, implementing necessary measures to mitigate risks.
*- Certification Proficiencies:*
* Hold and maintain certifications equivalent to DoD 8140 Intermediate level proficiencies, such as Security+ Certification for network security and Network+ Certification for network technician qualifications.
* Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in network security and telecommunications.
*Documentation and Reporting:*
* Document network configurations, changes, and maintenance activities.
* Provide regular reports on network performance, security incidents, and compliance status.
*Collaboration and Communication:*
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and integration of network services.
* Provide technical guidance and support to other IT professionals and end-users.
*Qualifications:*
*- Education:*
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
* Relevant certifications in network security (Security+) and network technician (Network+) as per DoD 8140 requirements.
*- Experience:*
* Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure.
* Demonstrated expertise in network security practices and protocols.
* Prior experience working in a DoD or military environment is advantageous.
*- Skills:*
* Proficient in the use of relevant tools and technologies outlined in the DoD Workforce Innovation Directorate 8140 Cyber Workforce Framework.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31.64 per hour
