We are hiring enthusiastic Picker/Packers to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia! This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are assembled and prepared for shipment with speed and accuracy. As a Picker/Packer, you will navigate our warehouse to locate specified items, verify their accuracy, and then meticulously package them for delivery. A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to productivity are essential. We maintain a strong focus on workplace safety, requiring all employees to adhere to established protocols and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Your role is vital in maintaining customer satisfaction and the efficiency of our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Verify the correctness of picked items against order details.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into shipping containers, ensuring product integrity.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Operate manual equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking as directed.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Meet individual and team productivity goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or a related warehouse role is an advantage.
- Ability to stand for long hours and move throughout the warehouse.
- Capacity for Lifting and carrying packages up to 45 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Basic understanding of logistics and warehouse flow.
