About
Our growing logistics company in Baltimore, Maryland is looking for a dynamic Shipping & Receiving Associate. This key role is responsible for managing the inbound and outbound flow of goods, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining efficient warehouse operations. You will be the first point of contact for many incoming shipments and the last step before outgoing orders reach our customers. We need someone detail-oriented, organized, and committed to upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency in our logistics environment. Your contributions will be vital to maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely delivery. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and document all incoming shipments.
- Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Unload materials from trucks using appropriate equipment.
- Store received goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and proper packaging.
- Load outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Coordinate with carriers and internal departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations. Familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 45 lbs. Strong organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of logistics and supply chain practices. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
