About
We are looking for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the inflow of goods into our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include unloading shipments, verifying incoming inventory against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and accurately documenting all received items. A key focus will be on ensuring the integrity of our supply chain through meticulous record-keeping and adherence to safety procedures. You will work closely with suppliers and internal logistics teams to resolve any discrepancies. This position requires physical stamina, as occasional heavy Lifting may be involved, and strict adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines is mandatory. We are committed to fostering a safe and efficient working environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control is advantageous. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and other vehicles.
- Verify the quantity and quality of received goods against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect incoming products for any damage or defects.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Prepare receiving reports and document any discrepancies.
- Properly store received goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
- Communicate with suppliers and internal teams regarding shipping issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Must be prepared for tasks requiring significant Lifting of goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Physical ability to handle moderate to heavy Lifting.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Logistics processes is a plus.
