About
We are hiring a diligent Material Handler for our Huntsville, Alabama location. This role is critical to the efficient operation of our logistics and distribution center. You will be responsible for handling a variety of materials, ensuring they are moved, stored, and retrieved safely and effectively. Your duties will include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment, as well as loading and unloading shipments. We prioritize a safe work environment, and all team members are required to wear appropriate PPE and follow strict safety procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent physical stamina, with the ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 60 lbs. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management is beneficial. You should be adept at working in a fast-paced environment, have good communication skills, and be a reliable team player. Attention to detail is paramount to ensure accuracy in all tasks. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
- Organize and maintain inventory stock in designated locations.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
