About
We are seeking motivated Picker/Packers to join our growing logistics team in Washington, D.C. This role is essential for ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves and meticulously preparing them for shipment. Your attention to detail and efficiency will directly impact customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of our distribution center. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick orders from warehouse locations using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy and prevent errors.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch according to carrier requirements.
- Maintain an organized and clean workstation and contribute to overall warehouse cleanliness.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with receiving and stocking of incoming merchandise as needed.
- Participate in inventory counts and help maintain accurate stock levels.
- Contribute to meeting daily order fulfillment targets and operational goals within the logistics team.
- Perform tasks involving regular Lifting and movement of boxes and products.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse/fulfillment center role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret product codes and order information.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good manual dexterity and the ability to work at a consistent pace.
- Comfortable performing tasks requiring physical activity, including frequent Lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
