About
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in San Diego, California. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center. You will be involved in loading and unloading trucks, as well as transferring materials between different areas of the warehouse. Ensuring the safe and timely movement of inventory is paramount. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials and products from trucks and into storage areas.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment throughout the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as order picking and packing.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
