We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist for our Phoenix, Arizona location. This role is crucial to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, supporting our overall logistics operations. You will be responsible for conducting regular inventory counts, investigating discrepancies, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining accurate inventory records in our system. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and monitor product shelf life.
- Operate warehouse equipment as needed for inventory movement and verification.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize storage and retrieval processes.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Perform tasks involving lifting and moving inventory items, up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving inventory.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
