Join our fast-paced logistics team as a Picker/Packer in sunny San Diego, California. We are looking for dedicated individuals to accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for locating products, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring that all orders are processed with speed and precision. This role is fundamental to our customer satisfaction and requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to Safety. You will work within a dynamic warehouse environment, collaborating with your team to meet daily targets. Proper use of PPE and adherence to safe Lifting practices are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Inspect products for damage before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, ensuring items are protected during transit.
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation.
- Operate scanning equipment to track inventory movement.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times, including gloves and safety shoes.
- Perform tasks involving regular Lifting of boxes and products.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with orders or inventory to the supervisor.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
- Participate in regular inventory counts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand picking lists and order details.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent Lifting of items up to 40 pounds.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse Safety practices and the use of PPE.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Understanding of basic logistics is a plus.
