About
Operate a forklift and contribute to efficient warehouse operations as a Forklift Operator in St. Louis, Missouri. We are looking for skilled and safety-conscious individuals to manage the movement of materials within our facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for transporting goods, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing inventory. Your role is crucial to the smooth functioning of our logistics chain. Safety is paramount, and adherence to all operational guidelines and the correct use of PPE is mandatory. You will work as part of a dedicated team, contributing to a productive and secure work environment. This position involves significant physical activity, including safe Lifting techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Inspect forklifts daily for any safety issues and perform minor maintenance as needed.
- Follow all Safety regulations and company policies regarding forklift operation.
- Ensure accurate placement of goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and securely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
- Wear appropriate PPE, including safety vests and hard hats, as required.
- Adhere to established Lifting procedures and assist colleagues when necessary.
- Support overall warehouse logistics by ensuring timely and accurate material movement.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of Safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Ability to perform regular physical tasks, including some Lifting.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles is a plus.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to wearing PPE and following Safety guidelines.
- Familiarity with basic logistics operations.
