As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout our warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with inventory management. This role requires a keen understanding of forklift operations, warehouse safety protocols, and a strong commitment to productivity. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric, propane) to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Safely transport inventory within the warehouse, ensuring proper placement and organization.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working order and report any issues.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes by moving pallets and materials.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory counts as required.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including strict adherence to PPE requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, promoting a safe environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- At least 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of safety protocols and the mandatory use of PPE.
