This role is fundamental to our fulfillment process, ensuring that customers receive their orders correctly and on time. The Picker/Packer will utilize scanning equipment and order lists to locate products within the warehouse, carefully package items to prevent damage, and label shipments accurately. You will be a critical link in our logistics chain, directly impacting customer satisfaction. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to working safely. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order lists and pick tickets.
- Use RF scanners or other technology to track picked items and update inventory.
- Inspect picked items for defects or damage before packaging.
- Package products securely and efficiently using appropriate materials (boxes, tape, void fill).
- Label packages with shipping information, ensuring accuracy.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and the use of required PPE.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or product damage to supervisors.
- Contribute to team goals and objectives.
- Understand and follow basic logistics procedures for outbound shipments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is an advantage.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and order information.
- Proficiency with hand-held scanners and basic computer use.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for prolonged periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Commitment to safety and willingness to wear appropriate PPE.
