We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our warehouse in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient receiving of all incoming goods. Your duties will include unloading shipments, verifying packing slips against received items, inspecting for damage, and documenting all incoming inventory accurately. This position is fundamental to our supply chain and logistics operations, ensuring that all incoming products are accounted for and properly processed. We are committed to a safe working environment and require all employees to utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety guidelines. This role demands attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting. Experience with warehouse receiving procedures and basic computer skills are beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and trailers using appropriate equipment.
- Verify the contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing lists, noting any discrepancies.
- Inspect all received goods for damage and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label received items as required for storage or distribution.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away into designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly receiving area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Adhere to established procedures for handling and storing various types of materials.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, drivers, and internal logistics staff.
- Wear required PPE, such as safety shoes and gloves, at all times.
