About
We are seeking a reliable Receiving Clerk for our facility in Seattle, Washington. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the accurate receipt, inspection, and documentation of all incoming shipments. Your precision directly supports our inventory accuracy and ensures the smooth functioning of our logistics pipeline. You will work in a structured environment that demands meticulous attention to detail. Employee safety is paramount, and we provide comprehensive training on all receiving processes and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires standing for extended periods and the capability for moderate lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Accept deliveries, unload trucks, and verify contents against shipping documents.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage, shortages, or overages.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory system.
- Label and prepare items for storage or distribution.
- Communicate any receiving discrepancies to supervisors and vendors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations related to logistics and receiving.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or receiving role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting shipping manifests and purchase orders.
- Basic computer skills; experience with inventory management software is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
