Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Material Handler for our busy distribution center in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials within the warehouse. This role is critical to the efficiency of our logistics operations, ensuring a smooth flow of goods from receiving to shipping. You will be part of a team dedicated to maintaining high standards of operational excellence. The environment is fast-paced and requires attention to detail. We are committed to your safety and provide comprehensive training on all warehouse procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The position requires standing for long durations and involves significant lifting.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and into storage locations.
  • Organize and maintain inventory in designated areas, ensuring proper stock rotation.
  • Transport materials throughout the warehouse as directed, supporting production and shipping needs.
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment to ensure operational readiness and safety.
  • Assist with receiving and put-away processes.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies related to logistics and material handling.
  • Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist in resolving discrepancies.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proven experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding role.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems is beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of the importance of PPE and adherence to safety standards.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
