About
We have an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler at our San Diego, California warehouse. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials throughout our facility. Your responsibilities will include receiving, moving, organizing, and stocking materials using appropriate equipment. This position is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and supporting our logistics operations. You will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring physical capability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. Teamwork and adherence to company policies, including the use of PPE, are paramount. We are looking for reliable and proactive individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and supplies.
- Transport materials to designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Organize and maintain inventory in a systematic manner.
- Prepare materials for shipment or further processing.
- Conduct regular checks of inventory levels and report discrepancies.
- Ensure that all material handling activities comply with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Properly use and maintain all equipment, reporting any issues immediately.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of required PPE.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain functions of the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is highly preferred.
- Certified to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment is a significant advantage.
- Ability to perform tasks involving frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Must be able to consistently handle lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards and wearing appropriate PPE.
