Basin Contracting Limited is an established company servicing the Road Building and Heavy Construction Industry. We have 40 years experience providing quality products and services to government and private customers throughout Nova Scotia.

Job Description:

• Review project plans and specification
• Preparation of tenders and quotations
• Preparation of quantity take-offs
• Attend site visits for government, corporate and private customers
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing for projects
• Work with Superintendents to execute projects from start to finish
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Engineering or Survey is preferred
• Experience in survey or estimating is an asset
• Ability to read plans
• Aptitude for civil construction
• Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to assist with project layout
• Experience with CAD and B2W an asset
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Capable of working in a team environment
• Good written and oral communication
