Database Developer

An award-winning professional services firm is seeking a skilled Database Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure databases that power business operations and legal systems.

• Database Development: Design and implement efficient database structures for new and existing applications.
• SQL Optimisation: Develop and maintain T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers for performance improvements.
• Database Administration: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise databases for reliability and scalability.
• Performance Tuning: Implement indexing, query optimisation, and resource management.
• Security & Compliance: Manage user permissions, encryption, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaboration: Work with developers, data engineers, and business teams to align database solutions with business needs.

• Proven experience as a Database Developer or DBA.
• Expertise in SQL Server & Azure SQL, including database design and optimisation.
• Strong T-SQL skills (queries, stored procedures, functions).
• Experience with performance tuning, backup strategies, and high availability.
• Knowledge of data security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Storage).
• Understanding of DevOps, version control (Git), and automation.

• Knowledge of ETL, data warehousing, and PowerShell scripting.
• Microsoft certifications (Azure Database Administrator, SQL Server).
