Maintenance Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and qualified Electrical Technician with an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering and experience in PLC/HMI Controls to join our dynamic team focused on ensuring safety and operational efficiency in airside operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical machinery ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Ensure all equipment is operating to specification following company procedures and safety protocols.
• Work with PLC/HMI systems for system diagnostics, programming, and updates.
• Carry out fault diagnostics and troubleshooting on electrical and control systems.
• Adhere to airside safety and security protocols and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Respond to urgent repair needs ensuring timely resolution to maintain operational efficiency.
• Support the continuous improvement of systems and equipment.
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities and equipment performance.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience working with PLC and HMI controls preferably Siemens systems.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently under pressure.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Additional Requirements:

• Airside vetting to CTC level required for Counter Terrorist Check.
• Must be able to work the shift pattern as per operational requirements.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with PLC programming and HMI systems.
• Prior experience working in a regulated environment such as airside operations.
