Senior Engineer, HSE

Job Description and Responsibilities

A Senior Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Engineer is required to act as the execution phase HSE focal point for clients undergoing decommissioning and installation projects. This role ensures full regulatory compliance of contractors throughout these processes.

The responsibilities of this position include:

• Acting as the HSE focal point for offshore decommissioning and installation projects.
• Reviewing and approving decommissioning and installation design documentation from a health, safety, and environmental perspective.
• Preparing and submitting regular HSE reports.
• Ensuring that all permit commitments and conditions are met.
• Engaging with stakeholders on HSE matters.
• Maintaining effective communication with contractors.

This role will also involve supporting the development of safety cases for duty holders.

Candidate Requirements and Experience

Applicants should have experience working in offshore demolition or construction projects, including:

• Project planning and management.
• Engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services.
• Offshore project execution.
• Site audits.
• Effective stakeholder engagement.
• Contractor management.
• Safety case development.
• Coastal and climate security (CCS) experience.
• Environmental appraisal.
• Decommissioning programme management.
• Construction Design Management (CDM).
• Bosiet training.
• Hold a BSc degree in an environmental or safety-related field or equivalent qualification.
