Job Position: CAD Admin / CAD Support (Aveva Engineering CAD Support)

Key Information:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 10-15 years of experience in Energy industry required (Nuclear, Oil&Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Offshore)
  • Aveva E3D, PDMS
  • Strong experience with coding (PowerShell, Python, PML), understanding of script language, web technologies and comfort with Windows and IT technologies

Location: Bristol, United Kingdom

Expertise:

The role involves local support for CAD engineering tools (Aveva Engineering, E3D & DRAW, PDMS & DRAFT, and DIAGRAMS). The service will manage files and scripts, and configure CAD resources as part of the role tasks.

Supporting engineering teams working with CAD applications involves:

  • Main User Support of Aveva Engineering activities (bugs resolution, training, modifications request, catalog request)
  • Coordination of CAD activities including new requests and resolution of CAD technical issues for multiple CAD tools on behalf of the teams
  • Definition, proposition, and follow-up of action plans and roadmaps
  • Establishment of constant contact with other teams, CAD teams in France, and local IT technical support
  • Development of macros and tools to deploy quick responses for engineering needs
  • Delivery of training to end-users when necessary
