**Structured Cabling Engineer Position Summary:**

This is a skilled and motivated role that involves the installation, termination, testing, and maintenance of structured cabling systems, including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and fibre optics.

About the Role:

We are seeking experienced Structured Cabling Engineers to join our team in Hull. The successful candidates will be responsible for the planning, installation, termination, testing, and maintenance of structured cabling systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and Termination: Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, fibre optics) to meet industry standards and project specifications.
  • Site Surveys and Assessments: Perform site surveys and assessments to identify cabling requirements and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Troubleshoot and resolve cabling issues efficiently, and maintain accurate documentation and project records.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members and contractors on-site to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Structured Cabling Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of structured cabling systems and industry standards.
  • Certifications: Proficiency in using testing equipment for copper and fibre installations, and ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, strong communication and teamwork abilities, and ability to work effectively under pressure.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI): CNCI Certification or equivalent, ECS/CSCS Card, IPAF and PASMA certifications.
