Registered Nurse

Gentiva is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Preceptor for a nursing role in Portage, Michigan.

• Facilitate the learning experience to enable preceptees to perform competently in their required responsibilities through mentoring, coaching, and role modeling correct behaviors.
• Perform patient home visits as per physicians' orders.
• Orient new nurses (preceptees) on hospice clinical policies and procedures, documentation, technology, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

This position reports to the AVPO and involves providing high interaction with patients as well as new hire clinicians during hospice visits.

• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a clinical setting.
• Diploma, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Unencumbered RN license in work state assigned.
