Registered Nurse (RN) - Adult Medical, General Surgery, Oncology; 36 hrs 7a-730pm

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive care to patients in the Adult Medical, General Surgery, and Oncology Unit of Wheeler 5.

This position involves utilizing the nursing process to provide high-quality care that meets the unique needs of each patient. The Registered Nurse is accountable for ensuring the safety and quality of the care they deliver or supervise.

They are responsible for working closely with the Director and other members of the Nursing Service Department to establish standards and policies that promote excellence in nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering direct and indirect care to patients based on their individual needs
• Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with patients and families
• Participating in the development and implementation of unit-based policies and procedures
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination

Requirements:

• Education: Graduate of a professional accredited nursing school
• Experience: Previous experience in medical-surgical, telemetry, or orthopedic settings preferred
• Licensure/Certification: Current licensure to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts required; BLS healthcare provider certification also necessary
• Skills: Basic nursing skills, communication skills, assessment skills, critical thinking skills, organizational skills, and excellent customer service skills
