Senior Engineer, Umbilicals

We are seeking a Senior Engineer with extensive experience in subsea umbilicals engineering to support our customer's worldwide offshore deep-water projects.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in conceptual studies, front-end engineering design, and tender package preparation, as well as knowledge of international standards such as API 17E.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the project engineering group based in Basingstoke (UK) and supporting all engineering activities related to umbilical design;
• Collaborating with suppliers to evaluate technical bids and select vendors;
• Reviewing and approving detailed engineering performed by contractors;
• Providing technical supervision and assistance during fabrication, testing, and installation activities;
• Maintaining excellent interface skills with other disciplines, including naval, structural, installation, and commissioning departments;

The successful candidate will have a strong background in subsea umbilicals engineering, with experience in reviewing and commenting on umbilical design and related documentation.

Additionally, they should possess knowledge of QA/QC tests specific to umbilicals within the oil and gas industry, as well as specialist knowledge of umbilical design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and operational activities.

Proficiency in MS Office and Dynamic Umbilical analysis software (e.g., Orcaflex) is required. Experience with CAD software is beneficial but not mandatory.
