Schools - RN Nurse

This is a dedicated nursing position where you will provide personalized health services to a student with specific medical needs.

• Health Monitoring & Emergency Response: Monitor the student's health condition throughout the school day, respond to emergencies or health incidents in a calm manner.
• Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed, ensure proper documentation, and monitor for any side effects or reactions.
• Health Assessments: Conduct routine health assessments to track the student's well-being, growth, and development.
• Collaboration with Family & School Staff: Work closely with the student's family, teachers, and other staff members to develop and implement health plans that align with the student's educational and health goals.
• Health Records Maintenance: Keep accurate and confidential records of the student's health status, medical treatments, and any incidents that may occur during school hours.
• Promote a Safe Environment: Ensure the student's safety and comfort in the school environment, making any necessary accommodations to support their participation in school activities.
• Advocate for Student Health Needs: Advocate for the student's health needs with school administrators and work to ensure that appropriate accommodations are made to promote their overall well-being.

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Vermont.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Previous experience as a school nurse or in pediatric nursing is highly preferred.
