We are seeking a proactive and motivated individual to join our team as an IT Systems Administrator, supporting the business in growing our flagship award-winning product: AIVR.

AIVR is a state-of-the-art video technology system used by thousands of people in the rail industry. It has won dozens of awards and is recognized as the market leading solution.

Job Summary:

We require a systems administrator to maintain our IT infrastructure and manage security compliance. Our IT estate consists of Windows/OS X laptops for 70 staff and a number of Linux servers.

• Technical Support: Provide first-line technical support to colleagues, assisting with hardware and software issues.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, and servers.
• Software Installation: Assist in the installation, configuration, and updates of software applications and patches.
• Hardware Maintenance: Lead on the setup, maintenance, and inventory management of IT hardware.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation of IT systems, procedures, and user requests.
• Security Compliance: Enforce IT security policies and best practices, including ISO27001, ISO9001, CE+ compliance and auditing.

• Lead or participate in IT projects and initiatives.
• Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other staff and business units.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching and wireless.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
