About
A large manufacturer in Anderson, IN is seeking 8 Warehouse Workers to work on both morning and night shifts. You will learn how to work in the entire distribution center, which includes picking, loading, and receiving.
Responsibilities- Pick products from designated locations based on order specifications.
- Operate an electric pallet jack to transport products throughout the warehouse.
- Use scanning equipment to ensure correct items are picked and track inventory.
- Verify picked items against order lists to ensure accuracy.
- Place picked items onto pallets in a secure and organized manner.
- Remove pallets from the conveyor.
- Scan pallets using provided equipment.
- Determine the appropriate door for each pallet using the SAP system.
- Transport pallets to the designated door using a sit-down forklift.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during the loading process.
- Identify the correct door for incoming shipments using the SAP system.
- Unload shipments from trucks and other delivery vehicles.
- Prepare the area for the next order by tidying up, ensuring tags and labels are correct, and putting items away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures during the receiving process.
- Willingness to operate an electric pallet jack.
- Ability to learn and operate a sit-down forklift.
- Capacity to work in cold temperatures.
- Self-motivation and ability to stay on task.
- Experience with RF scanners.
- Picking experience in a warehouse environment.
- Experience operating an electric pallet jack.
Upon hiring directly, pay increases to $24+ per hour. Employees receive 401k benefits and health benefits starting 30 days after being hired directly. Work EnvironmentThe work environment is a 45-degree warehouse; however, all cold weather equipment is provided. The dress code includes jeans, steel-toed or composite-toed shoes. Cold weather gear such as bibs and gloves are also provided. Shift hours are as follows: Morning Shift (4 openings): Monday-Friday 6AM - 2PM for 1-2 weeks of training, then moving to a 6 AM - 6 PM on a 2-2-3 schedule. Night Shift (4 openings): Sunday-Thursday 6PM - 2AM for 1-2 weeks of training, then moving to a 6 PM - 6 AM on a 2-2-3 schedule. Breaks include 2-20 minute paid breaks and 1-30 minute unpaid break.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anderson, Indiana.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
