The work we do is underpinned by quality. We deliver audits that are trusted and transparent, which can be relied upon by companies and their stakeholders. You will be someone who is comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with Senior Managers, Directors, and BDO's Partners.

  • You will act as a major point of contact within the firm, responding quickly to requests and keeping stakeholders informed of progress in relation to all aspects of the audit.
  • You will be responsible for the financial management of a portfolio.
  • You will ensure that the firm's risk management and quality control procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • You will identify and recognise business and sales opportunities.
  • You will support Partners and Senior Managers in the development of new business relationships and business proposals through high-level sales and marketing activity.
  • You will recruit, retain, develop, and motivate our employees, including participating in graduate recruitment and ensuring job appraisal documentation is completed within deadlines.
  • You will work as part of a management team with other Audit Managers within the business group, focusing on resource planning, merit rate meetings, and efficiency gains.
  • You will act as an ambassador of the firm, participate in office marketing events, and keep abreast of the wide range of services the firm offers.

Key requirements include:

  • ACA/ICAS qualified or overseas equivalent.
  • Good working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP, and Financial Reporting requirements.
  • Working knowledge of financial products, firm services, issues regarding advice and regulation, and compliance, including anti-money laundering.
  • Experience of systems/controls testing as well as substantive auditing, including consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts, and disclosures.
  • Project Management experience.
