General Manager in Training

As an Operations Manager at Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations to drive efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will lead a team, manage processes, and execute strategies to grow sales and meet organizational goals.

• Manage multiple business operations including retail store, fuel, restaurant, fresh kitchen, and truck care.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility through regular maintenance and safety checks.
• Drive sales of products and services through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and merchandising standards.
• Assist the General Manager with task execution, schedule and cash integrity, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
• Understand financial reporting, including analyzing profit and loss statements, and affecting change to capture opportunities.

• 2+ years in retail, travel stop or c-store, big box, grocery, or department store management.
• 2+ years managing operations with an annual sales volume of $2+million.
• 2+ years affecting and deciphering budgets and P&L statements.
• 2+ years supervising and training 5-10+ employees.
• Intermediate level computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Ability to work various shift times, including days, afternoons, evenings, nights, occasional overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Exceptional customer service, positive rapport building, expert salesmanship, and ensuring satisfaction by managing operations and employee-vehicle deployment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
• Effective teamwork skills.
