The Technology Risk Assurance (TRA) team sits at the heart of our Audit practice. We leverage deep technical expertise to evaluate risks associated with technology use for businesses in various sectors - from Consumer Markets, Retail, Technology Media & Telecoms, Natural Resources, Energy & Shipping, and Financial Services.

We use data analytics procedures to look for trends, anomalies, and understand IT and business processes while identifying risks. This exciting and interesting work may include evaluating risks around emerging technologies such as Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics Process Automation (RPA), and cyber-related risks.

As part of our TRA team, you will receive all the support needed to reach your potential and build technical skills.

You will be someone who is comfortable working proactively and managing own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with Senior Managers, Directors, and BDO's Partners.

You will help deliver accurate and transparent reporting to all relevant stakeholders as you provide long-term value.

  • Scope and plan our tech-enabled audit approaches to address audit risk in the most effective way.
  • Review the work performed by the team to maintain high-quality audit standards.
  • Provide insightful reporting to our internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and support our regional TRA team to support both current and future pipeline of work. Embedding strong project and financial management across the team is essential.
  • Inspirational People Management: Inspire, coach, and develop the team will be essential. In addition, developing and overseeing training programmes will be important to ensure skills remain current and relevant.
  • Bring ideas to enhance our delivery and act as a point of escalation throughout an engagement with respect to project delivery matters. Identify and raise matters with a Director/Senior Manager or Partner while exercising judgement within agreed parameters.
  • Innovation: Contribute to the development of methodologies and guidance for internal use.
  • Networking and Marketing: Act as an ambassador of the firm, participate in marketing events, keep abreast of the wide range of services the firm offers, and suggest innovative products and services.
  • Contribute and shape team meetings and represent the TRA team at office and firm meetings as required.
  • Personal Development: Continue to bring the latest Technology insights to the Partner and Director community and share knowledge with the teams.
