Your precision and understanding of warehouse logistics are vital to our supply chain's efficiency. This position requires physical capability, including regular lifting and moving of inventory, so a good level of fitness is necessary. Responsibilities:
- Accepting and unloading incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Accurately comparing received goods with purchase orders and packing lists.
- Thoroughly inspecting all incoming inventory for damage, defects, or shortages.
- Promptly and accurately entering received goods into our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Organizing and staging received inventory for efficient distribution or put-away.
- Reporting any discrepancies or damages to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized receiving area.
- Strictly following all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborating with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow.
- Contributing to inventory accuracy and loss prevention efforts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, or logistics roles is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with WMS software and inventory tracking methods.
- Strong understanding of shipping and receiving procedures.
- Ability to perform manual lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and the importance of using PPE.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A proactive and reliable work ethic.
