As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with order fulfillment. Your primary focus will be on operating various types of forklifts, ensuring the stability and security of loads, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Safety is our top priority, and you will be expected to strictly follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). This role requires individuals who are comfortable with heavy lifting and possess excellent hand-eye coordination. Experience in a fast-paced logistics setting is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Operating forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Ensuring the safe and efficient handling of all goods.
- Performing daily inspections of forklifts and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Assisting with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Following all safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborating with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures related to warehouse safety and logistics.
- Loading and unloading trucks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Contributing to a positive and productive team atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform manual lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of material handling principles.
- Proficiency in operating different types of forklifts.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
