Join our dynamic warehouse team in Detroit, Michigan, as a Material Handler! We are looking for energetic, dependable individuals to support our daily logistics operations. As a Material Handler, you will be involved in all aspects of material movement within the warehouse, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping. Your dedication to accuracy and efficiency is vital to our success. This role requires physical stamina for tasks such as significant Lifting, the ability to operate various warehouse equipment, and a strong commitment to Safety. You will work collaboratively with your team to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment. We foster a safe work environment and expect all employees to adhere to Safety protocols and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) diligently. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments.
- Stock materials in their designated locations within the warehouse.
- Accurately pick products for customer orders using pick lists or scanners.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment according to company standards.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and assist with stock management.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Support the overall logistics and distribution process of the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, but training will be provided.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting (up to 55 lbs), standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Team-oriented with effective communication skills.
- Dedication to workplace Safety and following all operational guidelines.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
