Job Summary:
We are recruiting a skilled Warehouse Coordinator to oversee and manage our warehouse operations in Richmond, Virginia. This leadership role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and organized flow of goods, inventory management, and the overall smooth functioning of our logistics hub. The Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for supervising warehouse staff, coordinating daily activities, optimizing storage, and maintaining safety standards. You will work closely with management and other departments to streamline operations, improve productivity, and reduce costs. A strong understanding of warehouse processes, inventory control systems, and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this position. This role requires excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Manage and supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and training.
  • Implement and maintain efficient inventory management systems to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate the flow of goods and materials to meet operational demands.
  • Develop and enforce strict safety protocols, ensuring compliance with all regulations and the proper use of PPE.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage warehouse equipment and ensure its proper maintenance.
  • Liaise with other departments, suppliers, and logistics partners.
  • Generate reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and operational costs.
  • Address and resolve any operational issues or discrepancies promptly.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS).
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, including a thorough understanding of safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Physical ability to perform occasional Lifting tasks as needed.
