Advance your career as a Forklift Operator in our dynamic logistics center located in Portland, Oregon. We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious individuals to manage the movement of goods within our facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a key role in our supply chain, ensuring that materials are handled efficiently and safely. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts for loading, unloading, transporting, and stacking products. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (including but not limited to sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks) safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and preventing damage.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Conduct thorough daily inspections of forklifts and related equipment, reporting any defects.
- Assist with receiving operations, including verifying product counts and inspecting for damage.
- Stage orders for shipment, ensuring correct products and quantities are prepared.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment, complying with all Safety regulations.
- Properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Participate in inventory control activities, such as cycle counting.
- Support the efficient functioning of our overall logistics operations.
- Perform necessary tasks that may require Lifting up to 50 pounds when not operating machinery.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a certified Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification and a clean driving record.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require Lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proven commitment to Safety and teamwork in a logistics setting.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
