About
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Material Handler to support our warehouse operations in Tampa, Florida. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and tracking of materials throughout the facility. This includes operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading shipments, and ensuring inventory is organized and accessible. A strong understanding of warehouse logistics and a commitment to safety are paramount. You will play a key part in maintaining the efficiency of our supply chain, ensuring that products are moved correctly and on time. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically fit, and comfortable working in a dynamic warehouse environment. Experience with forklifts and other heavy machinery is a significant asset. We are dedicated to providing a safe working space, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE, is mandatory. This position involves regular Lifting of materials and requires someone who can manage physical tasks effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated locations.
- Receive and process incoming stock and materials.
- Prepare and stage materials for shipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure Safety.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements.
- Must be able to perform heavy Lifting tasks regularly.
- Adhere to all warehouse and company policies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is highly preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including significant Lifting and carrying.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety vests and hard hats.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in logistics and inventory control.
