Job Description

The Role

The position is based in Sophia-Antipolis. Already living in the area or ready to pack your bags for the stunning French Riviera? Either way, we can't wait to have you on board!

Step into this exciting role and support our General Marketplaces team as our Head of Data Services.

As the Head of Data Services, you’ll manage and grow an 80TB cloud-based data lake for Switzerland’s leading second-hand platforms (anibis.ch, tutti.ch, Ricardo.ch). With your team, you’ll dazzle our users and supercharge our efficiency by designing and integrating data and AI services into our products and internal tools.

You’ll be part of a cross-functional, agile data team with an open mindset and friendly teammates who love learning new skills and sharing theirs.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and Inspire: Guide a team of Data & ML Engineers, analysts, and scientists.
• Design and Develop: Make key decisions on data integration in the data lake and AI services for production environments.
• Collaborate: Align with various teams on business and technical needs to drive your projects.
• Ensure Excellence: Maintain a high-performance data foundation that scales with business needs and enhances our analytics capabilities.
• Manage Projects: Oversee a full GCP project, including architecture, technology choices, cost monitoring, and alerting.

Qualifications

About you

We already know you’re talented, but here are some other requirements for the role:

Fast learner and ability to connect the dots both from a business and technical perspective

You have extensive programming, SQL and data modelling skills in cloud environments (GCP, BigQuery is a plus)

You have the ability to work well across different teams, feel comfortable with multithreading and deal with ambiguity

You do both project management and operational work, are able to delegate and spread knowledge and coach

You want to make a differenceworking in a dynamic, fast-paced environment for the leading second-hand marketplaces in Switzerland and work with cross located teams (You speak fluent English, French or German are a plus)
