Experience: 5-10 years Role Overview: We are looking for a seasoned backend engineer experienced in Elixir or Erlang to design, develop, and maintain high-performance distributed systems. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of functional programming and scalable architectures. Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize backend services using Elixir/Erlang (OTP, Phoenix Framework, BEAM VM). Build scalable, fault-tolerant, and concurrent systems for high availability. Collaborate with product and DevOps teams to integrate APIs, microservices, and data pipelines. Ensure system reliability through robust testing, monitoring, and performance tuning. Contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in Elixir, Erlang, and OTP concepts Experience with Phoenix Framework, LiveView, or Nerves (IoT) is a plus Solid understanding of concurrency, distributed systems, and message passing Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines Working knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure Preferred Qualifications:
Experience contributing to open-source Elixir/Erlang projects Strong problem-solving, debugging, and system design skills Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
