Material Handler (Fork Lift Operator/ Driver) - 1st and 3rd Shift

Job Description

Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts

Responsibilities:

• Obtain copy of production schedule or shipping schedule and transport material to and from designated areas inside facility
• Loading and unloading material from vehicles such as trailers, straight trucks, and vans
• Moving material around storage facility
• Stacking material in correct storage bays and following inventory control instructions
• Checking loads are secure
• Stacking empty pallets
• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging truck’s battery and cleaning equipment
• Reporting issues to direct supervisor

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Good language and reading skills: basic computer skills may be required
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others: promote safe working environment
• Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
• Complete assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner
• Maintain a clean and safe environment
• Ability to accurately use a tape measure
• Occasionally lifting of up to 50 lbs. required
